HMS Group manufactures a compressor system for the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research

NIIturbokompressor (HMS Group) has designed and manufactured an integrally geared centrifugal compressor system for the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna, Moscow Region).

The centrifugal compressor system AEROCOM 2-179/18 with 10,600 Nm³/h capacity and 17.6 bar discharge pressure is equipped with 1600 kW electrical drive and up-to-date microprocessor automation system and intended for compression of nitrogen.

The compressor system is a part of the processing unit in NICA accelerator complex being constructed in the Veksler and Baldin Laboratory of High Energy Physics (Dubna, Moscow Region).

This project is one more example of successful cooperation between the institutes. NIIturbokompressor has already manufactured and supplied to the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research the rotary screw compressor systems for helium.
