DESCRIPTION

The BB3 type represent horizontally mounted, axially split, multistage, between-bearings pumps with double volute casing, designed in compliance with API 610 standard of the 11th edition.


APPLICATION

  • Onshore / offshore production of oil, gas and condensate
  • Water supply (sea and produced water)
  • Fuel gas purification

  • Capacity range: 20 - 3700 m³/h
  • Pressure head range: 150 - 1900 m/6200 feet (2800 m for high-speed arrangement)
  • Pressure design: up to 275 bar (4000 psi)
  • Rotation speed: up to 4500 rpm
  • Pumped media temperature: - 80 … + 250 °C (480 °F)
  • Specific gravity: over 0.70


DESIGN FEATURES AND ADVANTAGES

  • Excellent suction capability due to double-suction first stage NPSH impeller.
  • Back-to-back arranged impellers providing rotor axial balance and lowered wear of rotating elements.
  • Symmetrical casing parts and centreline-located feet ensure uniform temperature expansion of the casing and stability in with high-temperature liquids.
  • Specially designed pump stages, wear rings and bushings provide uniform pressure drop per mm throughout the pump width for uniform distribution of normal wear of the elements for increased reliability.
  • High-strength casing of a compact size with single-row easy accessible bolting simplifies the maintenance operations.
  • Extra heavy-duty rigid shaft with minimum deflection in operation to extend lifetime of bearings and mechanical seals.
  • Various applicable options of the bearings solutions for high-pressure, high-capacity, and high-temperature applications.


SHAFT SEAL

  • Application of a single and double mechanical seal of a standard cartridge type design is equally possible from John Crane, EagleBurgmann, Aesseal, TREM
