HMS Group history

HYDROMASHSERVICE was established in 1993 as a trading company. The main business was to supply pumps and related equipment to Russia from CIS countries (Belarus, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan) where traditional equipment suppliers for the Russian market were located.

By 1995 We had extended to the market of pumping equipment in Russia and CIS and soon became one of the leaders in supplying pumps and systems for oil & gas, power, water & utilities.

During 2003 - 2013, company has been expanding by organic growth coupled with active merging and acquiring pump, compressor and oilfield skid mounted equipment manufacturers, R&D and engineering agencies as well as servicing and EPC companies:

  • 2003 - Livgidromash (since 07.07.2014 HMS Livgidromash)
  • 2004 - Neftemash (since 26.08.10 HMS Neftemash) and Bavlensky Plant «Elektrodvigatel»
  • 2005 - Livnynasos
  • 2006 - Nizhnevartovskremservice
  • 2006 - Tomskgazstroy
  • 2008 - Promburvod (Belarus)
  • 2008 - Rostovsky Vodokanalproekt (RVKP)
  • 2009 - Sibnefteavtomatika
  • 2010 - Giprotyumenneftegaz (Tyumen based R&D and engineering company for oil & gas named after V.I. Muravlenko, GTNG)
  • 2011 - Dimitrovgradhimmash
  • 2011 HMS Group acquired Sibneftemash, Russian oilfield equipment manufacturer, and Bobruisk Machine Building Plant.
  • 2012 HMS Group acquired Kazancompressormash, Russian compressor manufacturer, and Apollo Goessnitz GmbH, German pump manufacturer.
  • 2013 - NIIturbokompressor

In 2005 Hydraulic machines and systems, Investment Industrial Group, was established and Hydraulic machines and systems, Management Company, was set up for asset management acting as a sole executive body in respect to all affiliate companies of HMS Group.

In September 2008 Hydraulic machines and systems, Investment Industrial Group,  was transformed into HMS Group.

In September 2010 Hydraulic machines and systems Management Company was renamed as HMS Group Management Company.

In February 2011 HMS Group completed their IPO of global depositary receipts (GDRs) on the London Stock Exchange. HMS Group receipts ticker – HMSG.

Since May 2021, global depositary receipts of HMS Group are traded on the Moscow Exchange under the ticker “HMSG”.
