HMS Group will design and supply mainline pumping units for the pipeline East Siberia-Pacific Ocean – 2 (ESPO-2)

The united trading company of HMS Group –Hydromashservice JSC  – has won a tender and entered into a contract with AK Transneft JSC  for design and supply of 28 mainline pumping units ANM 7000-250-3-GM and ANM 10000-250-3-GM for their subsequent installation on oil pumping stations of the second phase of the pipeline system East Siberia – Pacific Ocean – 2 (ESPO-2). Contract conditions stipulate fulfillment of the entire scope of works, including equipment design, manufacture, and testing, as well as installation supervision, commissioning and start-up operations.

Pumping units ANM 7000-250-3-GM (feed – 7,500 m³/h, head – 250 m) and ANM 10000-250-3-GM (feed – 9,150 m³/h, head – 245 m) were developed in accordance to Special Technical Requirements of AK Transneft. Full-scale testing of the new equipment will be performed under the auspices of HMS Group’s testing center.

In order to comply with the Customer's requirements, the Group’s R&D specialists developed effective integrated technical solutions. The liquid end of pumps for the project was designed using cutting-edge software tools of computational fluid dynamics, which will ensure the high performance coefficient of mainline pumping units. Pumps are fitted with equipment produced by leading manufacturers: modern electric motors and hydraulic couplings, high-performance aerial coolers.

HMS Groups has experience of successful cooperation with AK Transneft JSC on a number of projects. In March 2010 they successfully completed a complex of works for installation of backup oil pumping stations with the high-performance direct diesel drives (1,617.6 kW) at the Oil Pumping Stations No14 and 17 during the first phase of the ESPO system. HMS Group completed the design, manufacture, installation supervision of backup oil pumping stations, and prepared them for commissioning.
